We at Church On The Rock firmly believe the doctrines of historic Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible. A complete statement of faith appears in the church Constitution and Bylaws, but may we summarize it briefly for you here.
We believe the entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is the final and sole authority for all-Christian life and practice. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son. We believe further in His preexistence, His incarnation, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutiionary sacrifice for sinners, His bodily resurrection from the grave, His personal return from heaven. We believe that man was crated in the image of God, that he sinned in Adam, and that he is now a sinner by nature and by choice. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from human merit, works, or ceremonies. We believe that the church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the Head, both eternally and functionally. We believe in the resurrection of the human body; the eternal existence of all men either in heaven or hell; in divine judgments and rewards.
